The Department
The Supply Value Chain Transformation (SVCT) department is involved in improving all aspects of PVH's upstream supply chain via complex initiatives that follow the diagnostic, ideation, and implementation project approach. 

The Team
As part of the SVCT department, the Trade Compliance team is tasked with improving the sourcing decisions made during the development cycle of the product to ensure that opportunities are highlighted and implemented, while upholding all national and international policies and legislation.

The Position
The Trade & Public Affairs specialist (maternity cover) will be a key enabler for the department, by following, highlighting, and summarizing all potential impacts on our supply chain from new and upcoming legislation put forth mainly by the European Union and its member states. The role involves internal stakeholder management and constant follow-up with the latest news coming out of the EU, especially on sustainability policies.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Follow-up on all new and incoming legislation that might impact PVH's supply chain and sustainability goals via the weekly monitoring reports
  • Attend regular meetings with external parties on the latest policy news and summarize potential impacts for internal stakeholders
  • Ensure that the bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly Government & Public Affairs meetings are organized, documented, and that all important call-outs are cascaded to the right stakeholders
  • Improve internal processes related to Trade & Public Affairs and set up new working groups between key stakeholders based on incoming legislation
  • Uphold a good relationship between SVCT and CR/Sustainability teams
  • Support the Trade Compliance team on simple ad-hoc weekly tasks and reporting
     

Preferred qualifications: 

  • A master's degree in public affairs, international trade, or similar
  • 2+ years of experience in a public affairs or trade compliance role
  • Experience in supply chain & sustainability topics at an FMCG
  • Must be a great communicator with good stakeholder management skills
  • Must be able to condense complicated policies into digestible action points
  • Good Powerpoint & Excel skills preferred
  • Familiarity with policies such as Textile Strategy, Sustainable Product Initiative (SPI), Sustainable Corporate Governance (SCG), Due Diligence, etc. is a big plus
