The Team
You will work closely with other IT teams; incl. INFRA, Network Services & Monitoring Teams, as well as SCPD - Product & Pricing; the business team supporting production and sourcing processes. The Product Technology team's responsibilities span further than only PLM system, since our system's architecture around the production process is wide and complex. You will work close to other teams and systems they cover, and there will be shared responsibilities giving you a chance to grow more knowledge or apply existing experience in broader context.

The Position 
As a Senior API Engineer you will be part of the Product Technology team responsible for several production systems including Centric PLM; the backbone/core system for all our product development and starting point for our sourcing processes. You will work closely with other IT teams; incl. INFRA, Network Services & Monitoring Teams, as well as SCPD- Product & Pricing; the business team supporting production and sourcing processes. The Product Technology team's responsibilities span further than only PLM system, since our system's architecture around the production process is wide and complex. You will work close to other teams and systems they cover, and there will be shared responsibilities giving you a chance to grow more knowledge or apply existing experience in broader context. One of the main assignments will be PLM API Framework implementation.

Experience And Specialised Knowledge

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working experience in developing API's, Web applications and integrations with different systems
  • Working experience in developing software in Java 
  • Working experience with frameworks like Quarkus, Spring, SpringBoot, Micronaut or Vert.x
  • Good knowledge and understanding of REST
  • Good knowledge and understand of JSON, Python
  • Experience in building Microservices
  • Experience with CI/CD and DevOps way of working
  • Experience with Docker
  • Working experience of working with non-technical people
  • Working experience with integrations to different systems
  • Terraform
  • Experience with Kafka 
  • Experience with Kong 
     

Nice to have

  • Working experience in AWS or other Cloud providers is a plus
  • Knowledge of GraphQL is a plus
  • Experience with BDD/TDD is a plus
  • Experience with ELK stack is a plus
  • Experience with Couchbase is a plus
  • Knowledge of gRPC is a plus
