Payroll specialist is a key member of a high-performing NL Payroll team.
Payroll team is in charge of end-to-end payroll services for 3400+ Associates, with split between 13 legal entities and supported by 4 HR Operations teams. The main function of the team is to provide timely and accurate payment to associates while adhering to governmental regulations and company controls, to build strong relationship with payroll provider and to partner up with all HR functions to facilitate readiness of initial data for the payroll cycle.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support monthly end-to-end payroll cycle:
Ensure an accurate and timely payroll month close including but not limited to basic pay, statutory and supplementary benefits, stock compensation, payroll taxes;
Analyze data processing, reconciliation input vs output, discrepancies resolution within tight deadlines;
Garnishments/seizures administration;
Payroll calculation and administration of expats/impats;
Timely and correct Wage tax filing
- Handling payroll related employee's queries;
- Perform Pro-forma calculation (on request);
- Help to Senior Payroll Specialist in preparing payroll reconciliations, GL postings and other reports for Finance on monthly/quarterly/annual basis;
- Payroll FAQs maintenance;
- Support Internal/External audit requests by providing required payroll related information;
- Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder?s management, assistance to HR Operations in complex Payroll matters;
- Provide payroll feedback and data when required to support with implementing and on-boarding new payroll system in HR, participation in other projects.
The Ideal Candidate:
- 3+ years of experience working in a payroll environment;
- Knowledge of Dutch payroll & legislation
- Experience with Numbers, WD ;
- Ability to advise on Dutch taxation, labor law related to employee compensation, benefits;
- Excellent Excel skills;
- High numerical and analytical skills, ability to multitask;
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail;
- Pro-active attitude, hands-on mentality;
- Problem solving mindset & positive attitude;
- Experience to work within a Sox environment;
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly, analyze information and exercise good judgment;
- Ability to work effectively as an individual and as a team member;
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally, build strong relationships and become a trusted partner to stakeholders at all seniority level;
- Excellent communication skills in both written and oral English.
