The Department and Team
The PVH Europe Finance Department see it as their mission to share timely, accurate and relevant financial information in a fully compliant environment. Using this data to provide insights, challenge and guide business stakeholders while acting as a center of excellence on specialized financial, risk and compliance topics.
Our goal is to be recognized as one unified community across Europe and a true pro-active business partner with highly skilled and engaged finance professionals that continuously work on improving information, processes and systems. The PVH Europe Finance Team comprises of Financial Reporting, Controlling, Treasury, Internal Control and Tax areas of expertise. They are responsible for consolidating, reporting, forecasting and providing key management information on the global Tommy Hilfiger businesses and the European Calvin Klein businesses.
Our Financial Reporting and Consolidation team comprises of around 15 people.
The European consolidation consists of ~70 European entities across all European countries. The financial reporting team reports the monthly results in US GAAP to PVH Corp located in the US.

The Position
For the Financial Reporting and Consolidation team, we are looking for a manager that will bring additional US GAAP and local GAAP expertise as well as the ability to drive process improvements around the reporting environment. The suitable candidate will report to the Senior Manager Financial reporting.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Assist in monthly closing activities and review activities prepared by financial analysts (such as review of bad debt provision, review of weekly sales report, review of monthly reporting schedules to PVH Corp, preparation of certain monthly controlling journals during the close) 
• Provide accounting guidance (US GAAP) to local Finance teams throughout Europe including enhancing existing accounting guidance
• Manage / Support team with Europe statutory compliance process and related audits (statutory accounts are prepared by local finance teams), including liaising with external auditors
• Manage / Support team with SOX compliancy
• Assist in preparation and coordination of Disclosures for quarterly filings to US HQ (10Q preparation)
• Liaise when necessary with PVH US financial reporting team on US GAAP accounting matters and cross Atlantic accounting initiatives
• Work closely with other finance teams in HQ and in local countries
• Support with deep dives and ad-hoc requests, including preparation of senior management information both structured and on an ad hoc basis
   

The Ideal Candidate: 

• Masters in Finance / Business Administration. Accounting qualification preferred
• Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience within Accounting, Reporting 
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP. 
• Big four career start as an accountant is a plus
• Experience with resolving complex accounting issues
• Strong team player. Fitting in our casual company culture
• Proactive, organized self-starter able to drive projects to completion. Flexible & Deadline oriented
• Good communication skills, ability to clearly articulate finance topics in plain language to various stakeholders. Able to form trusted relationships with (Sr.) Stakeholders
• Skilled in BI, good knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, BW, BPC)
• Strong excel and power point skills
• Fluent in the English language
