Role : Prints & graphics Senior designer

The Prints & Graphics Senior designer is responsible for the creation and execution of all visual applications across the various lifestyles and divisions of the Tommy Hilfiger brand. The Prints & graphics team sets the visual editorial line for the entire Tommy Hilfiger company and all its products, worldwide. We create visual assets that are designed and developed in line with the TH brand identity. Our goal is also to challenge, expand and refine the brand’s visual DNA every collection. Tommy Hilfiger is undergoing a lot of very exciting fashion transformations, and this is a great opportunity to help write its history.

This job is all about vision first. It is about understanding the direction of the brand, and translating it in visual mediums. The prints & graphics Senior designer is therefore expected to create logos, repeat prints, tshirt graphics as well as other images with ease. They have extensive knowledge of how to apply their creations to fashion products. As such, they should be creative & visionary, but also pragmatic, detail-oriented and very aware of current fashion & art. They need to work well in a team and be a good communicator. They have experience managing projects and people. We are looking for an experienced image maker in fashion and visuals.


Responsibilities:

  • Follow design process from start to finish, from inspiration to design, to technical files, samples review and bulk corrections

  • Design visual assets to respond to a large variety of briefs

  • Quickly generate a number of quick ideas upon reception of new input, in a silhouette format

  • Do visual research to feed off mood boards and seasonal briefs

  • Can easily pick up someone else’s artwork to place it, recolour it and launch it

  • Create, amend and distribute artwork worksheets.

  • Work with partner Product developer and Product designer to bring vision to reality

  • Can coordinate projects from inception to finish with no oversight if needed

  • Working to the Design Calendar to meet deadlines, and is in general aware of timings.

  • Review & comment on supplier strike-offs.



Requirements:

  • Image making background compulsory, not necessarily a college degree but needs to be a consistent practice with some degree of mastery (print design, graphic design, 3d design, video game design, illustration, fine arts, etc.. are all ok)

  • Years of experience generating graphics for commercial purposes, work in fashion for a few years at least.

  • Distinctive creative vision, with a unique sense but needs to show that works/collaborates with others easily

  • Ability to work in a variety of styles a plus

  • Visible interest in fashion, awareness of current visual trends

  • Excellent computer skills (Illustrator/Photoshop), any other software creativity (such as 3d software) is a major plus

  • Fluent in English both written and verbal as English is the working language of the company

  • Is able to work in a fast-paced environment and has a hands-on mentality

  • Team player

  • Structured and well organized

  • This job will require working on-site preferably fulltime / preferably no hybrid
