The Department and Team
The Tommy Hilfiger Strategy & Planning team is the strategy and transformation function for the Global Headquarter of Tommy Hilfiger (TH) based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. In this capacity, the team supports the TH Global management in structuring strategic thinking, and running strategic and transformation initiatives throughout the business: along the value chain from merchandising and design, to product development, sourcing and supply.

The Position
Reporting to the Senior Director, the person is responsible for the planning, execution, and evaluation of strategic initiatives and will act as maternity cover for a Senior Manager on the team.
Actively managing relationships between project and business leads & teams, the person is able to efficiently manage the project team’s thinking and problem solving process, while ensuring business requirements, capacities, timelines, and the highest quality standards.

Role and Responsibilities:
Lead / support the execution of strategic & transformational projects, by: formulating and testing hypotheses; developing and communicating recommendations; aligning strategies across business teams and obtaining buy-in from various senior stakeholders; implementing strategies, business processes and change
Own the planning, execution and controlling of one or more strategic (sub)projects
Key contact person to business leads in one or more strategic (sub)projects
Proactively leading discussions, driving progress and facilitating decision making based on facts and insights
Contact person to the entire organization for project related tasks and various strategic questions
Comfortable with high levels of ambiguity, having a high sense of ownership and not shying away from responsibility
(Co-)Lead the problem solving process: manage the structuring of issues, the running of analyses, and the development of actionable recommendations for the business
Help develop the team to expand their skill sets and to further progress their careers
Own and drive the preparation of top management business presentations and decision meetings
The Ideal Candidate:
From 8+ years of experience in consulting in the fashion, apparel retail or consumer goods industry;
University degree from a leading business school/university
Outstanding people and relationship skills; and ability to interact with different levels of a multi-cultural, international organization
Strong executive presence and leadership engagement skills
Excellent written and presentation skills; able to communicate effectively through both written and verbal communication
Flexible, and able to perform in a highly dynamic work environment
Independent, hands-on, able to prioritize, results oriented and structured
Ability to deal with a new and wide variety of topics
Real team player, does not take her/himself too seriously
Ambitious, highly motivated and with a focus on developing yourself
High standard of ethics, integrity and confidentiality
Excellent MS PowerPoint and Excel skills
Proficiency in English
