The Department & Team


The Product Development team is responsible for the development of the product, from initial concept through to physical and digital garments and delivers high quality, innovative and sustainable products while delivering on company & divisional KPI´s.


We closely collaborate with other product development divisions to align processes and ensure efficiencies and partner with a number of stakeholders: design & merchandising, through to supply value chain, buying & planning and global teams. This role plays an intricate part in delivering the brand DNA.




The Position


Responsible for product management throughout the development process, by attending key meetings (e.g. raw materials meeting, proto review, final price meeting, pre-SMS review), and advising on possible improvements of product and margins, to handover for production.



Ensuring quality of product and achievement of margin & sustainability targets throughout the product development process, by collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, and vendors. Supports efficiency improvement by ensuring accuracy of data in PLM and analysing processes and best practices, pursuing effective structures and ways of working

Key Responsibilities (5-7):


   Alignment with PVH+ Plan and Global Product Kitchen ? Improving overall brand relevance and consideration; in line with GPK objectives and serving NA needs through the global kitchen


   Delivering our best product for the female consumer, by comping existing GIII best-sellers and layering in elevated global essentials and seasonal products to command higher AURs


   Knowledge about costs and price positioning, in line with brand vision and global TH WSW direction; leveraging our global talent to deliver operational excellence and efficiencies once in full control of design and development process


   Research & development


   Maintain close relationships with supply value chain & vendors, in all aspects related to brand, & product expectations


   Vendor allocation for protos and SMS, in line with sourcing strategy


   Information maintenance/data integrity: ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data in PLM (e.g. BOM, prices)


   Send vendor request for proto and SMS to vendors/Supply Value Chain and accountable for on time delivery of samples according to calendar deadlines


   Set target LDP prices and negotiate with Vendors and supply value chain to achieve margins, as set by Product Merchandising and


   Review lead times of fabrics and trims/ possible lead times with supply value chain, B&P, and discuss allocations accordingly


   Operational activity to achieve product-category specific KPIs (e.g. margins, sustainability, innovation, overdevelopment and on-time SMS delivery)


   Liaise with Central Quality Assurance regarding any quality issues


   Ad hoc tasks such as sample organizing, meeting preparation, analysis and reporting




The Ideal Candidate description:


   2-4 years of experience minimum


   A bachelor/ master?s degree in fashion, clothing or textiles or equivalent experience in fashion, clothing or textiles industry


   Product knowledge of apparel preferably within relevant category including PD process


   Knowledge in fabrics/trims quality and color approval


   Effective communication skills: inclusive team player, interdepartmental collaboration


   Ability to solve straight forward problems following standard procedures


   Able to work in a highly productive, fast paced environment with a hands-on approach


   High data integrity


   Strong knowledge of product development, particularly on apparel costing for North America businesses, price negotiations, fabrics/trims quality and color


   In depth knowledge of North America apparel import requirements and vendor sourcing landscape


   Able to work in a highly productive, multicultural, fast paced environment with a hands-on approach


   Ability to travel internationally


   Self-driven, pragmatic and business mind set

   Good command of written & spoken English
