The Procurement department at PVH Europe is responsible for all indirect (non-merchandise) purchases and functions as an internal consultant for the broader organization. The team implements strategic sourcing processes to ensure sustainable sourcing within a standardized and compliant supply chain. One of the key objectives is to provide insights into operational spending, identify savings opportunities, and source new vendors who can deliver high-value services and goods to PVH.
The team is also responsible for executing tenders to ensure the best product at the best price, delivered on time. By leveraging robust contract and vendor management processes, we ensure that the vendor base performs optimally for the organization. Collaboration with internal departments and advising on new procurement opportunities are critical elements of this team, which also focuses on supporting sustainability initiatives with our vendor partners.
The Procurement department at PVH Europe operates using a category management approach. This position is for a Manager in the Retail development and operations category, which covers procurement for retail operations. The Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders across multiple retail areas, including (but not limited to) mannequins, hangers, in-store fixtures, lighting, digital solutions, architect agencies, packaging, store construction and window displays. The role reports to the Senior Director Procurement.
The Department and Team
In this temporary role, the Manager will not only manage the general responsibilities described below but will also oversee key strategic projects during the maternity cover period. The candidate will play a critical role in leading global initiatives and ensuring the completion of specific procurement objectives, such as:
Running the Global RFx Process for Tommy Hilfiger Global Rebranding ? including sourcing for store concepts, fixtures, hangers, mannequins and packaging.
Finalizing Vendor Negotiations and the Contracting Process specifically for store construction projects in the EMEA region.
In addition to these key initiatives, the Manager will be responsible for day-to-day procurement activities, identifying additional savings opportunities and maintaining relationships with key vendors and stakeholders.
Some Key qualities / skills needed
Stakeholder Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, acting as the main point of contact for procurement-related matters.
Procurement Advocacy: Promote the Procurement department?s role and influence within the business by demonstrating value-added services to stakeholders and driving adoption of procurement processes.
Project Leadership: Lead the acquisition, management, and execution of RFX projects for new and existing products and services, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Global Sourcing Project Management: Manage stakeholder alignment for global sourcing projects across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas. Collaborate with departments such as Store Development, Concept, Non-Trade Supply Chain, Sustainability, and Legal to ensure consistency and alignment.
Role and Responsibilities:
Global RFx Execution: Lead and execute the global RFx process across EMEA, APAC, and the Americas to ensure effective vendor selection and pricing strategies.
RFx Management: Oversee annual benchmarking or RFx processes, including Vendor selection, project timelines, and final negotiations and contracting.
Vendor Management: Maintain ongoing communication with Vendors to monitor quality, forecast future needs, and review price levels. Manage established vendor performance tracking mechanisms to ensure consistent delivery against agreed KPIs.
Vendor and Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify and evaluate new Vendors, ensuring alignment with the company's sourcing strategies and sustainability objectives.
Contract Negotiation: Collaborate with the legal and business stakeholders to negotiate and secure Vendor contracts, ensuring that all agreements include clear KPIs and are compliant with PVH procurement policy.
Pricing and Cost Optimization: Analyze pricing for all purchases within the category, negotiating cost reductions and value-added services to drive savings and improve service quality.
Risk Management: Mitigate contractual risks while maintaining compliance with service levels and ensuring alignment with CSR and human rights policies.
Process Improvement: Drive process enhancements, such as purchase-to-pay workflow, to improve operational efficiency and transparency.
Financial Reporting: Support the Procurement Manager by providing detailed financial reports and insights related to procurement spend, category size, and savings opportunities.
The Ideal Candidate
To succeed in this role, the Manager must possess strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Given the fast pace of the organization, the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and adapt to changing business needs is essential. The ideal candidate is proactive, persuasive when necessary, and thrives in a dynamic environment.
Minimum 6 years of relevant procurement experience, with at least 2 years as a Buyer.
Experience in retail procurement is a plus.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, systems, contract management, and value engineering principles.
Exceptional negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Strong project management capabilities, including planning, budgeting, and time management.
Team player with an open, international mindset, and the ability to build relationships across a diverse, multi-lingual team.
