The Position
You will be working in a multi-disciplinal team of 3 developers. You will work in the Developer Experience Team in PVH Technology Department.
Think of all the moments where you needed to deal with bugs, working hard on delivering a feature before a deadline while you had to focus on the UX (User Experience) but had to compromise on the DX (Developer Experience).
In this role you will have the opportunity to focus on easing and efficiency with which developers can create and maintain that product by working on our inner source tools, pipelines and standards.
You will be working on improving our developer experience in our frontend projects assuring to
- Improve developer productivity and satisfaction
- Reduce development time & time to market
- Lower maintenance costs, and
- Foster innovation.
Role and Responsibilities:
Lead a team of 3 full stack developers
Tooling and Infrastructure: Developing and maintaining developer tools, frameworks, libraries, and infrastructure that streamline the development process, automate repetitive tasks, and improve developer productivity.
Creating comprehensive and user-friendly documentation, tutorials, guides, and API references to help developers understand and utilize the organization's technology stack effectively.
Developer Support: Providing timely and effective support to developers, addressing their queries, troubleshooting issues, and assisting them in resolving technical challenges during the development process.
Code Samples and Examples: Creating and curating a collection of high-quality code samples, examples, and best practices that demonstrate the proper usage of APIs, frameworks, and other development resources.
Developer Advocacy: Promoting the adoption and usage of the organization's technology stack among internal and external developers by organizing workshops, conferences, webinars, and other educational initiatives.
Feedback and Iteration: Gathering feedback from developers and incorporating it into the improvement and evolution of developer-facing tools, documentation, and processes. Actively seeking opportunities for continuous enhancement and iteration.
The Ideal Candidate:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A solid foundation of computer science fundamentals is a must.. Relevant certifications or equivalent work experience will also be considered.
+6 years of experience working in an agile environment, and a good understanding of agile methodologies and roles.
+6 years of experience in web development with modern frameworks in a DevOps environment.
Experience with Domain Driven Design
Experience with Test Driven Development
Experience with NextJS, NodeJS with Typescript, Git, Command Line, Containerization, DevOps practices,
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely. Experience in creating clear and comprehensive documentation, tutorials, and API references.
Collaboration: Proven track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams. Ability to collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to align developer experience goals with overall product objectives.
Attention to Detail: Meticulousness in documentation, code quality, and overall attention to detail. A strong focus on delivering high-quality developer experiences.
GitHub Profile: A well-maintained GitHub profile showcasing personal projects, contributions to open source, and involvement in developer communities. Demonstrated ability to utilize version control systems effectively is a plus
