The Team


The team is responsible for advising people managers and associates on all aspects of the associate-life-cycle. The team are responsible for providing HR advisory services for the EMEA region, advising all associates and people leaders across our offices, retail stores and warehouses. The service they provide is driven by and directly impacts the day to day use of self-service platform People Services Portal.



The Position


The People Advisor works as an employee life cycle expert and HR consultant (HR Generalist) by advising on individual and team cases.



The purpose of the role is to provide associates and people leaders with guidance and direction. Ensure that cases are handled efficiently and in compliance with relevant policies, SLAs and procedures The People Advisor role is representing the EMEA HR function and is the face of HR to our associates and people leaders.



Based on their in-depth understanding of the business as well as of all HR policies, processes and frameworks, their local specialization and language skills as well as their service excellence, the People Advisor is a key role to enable a premium associate and people leader experience.



Based on their day-to-day experiences, the People Advisor provides input to People Operations and COEs on how to further improve policies, processes and frameworks but also maintains a close relationship with the Hub HR BPs.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Create a great and differentiating associates and people leader experience by handling all incoming requests with a high degree of expert knowledge, professionalism and service mentality.


  • Contribute to gathering insights on the exit reasons and input those into the existing processes to improve retention rates and increase people manager capability.


  • Translate existing HR and people processes, policies and frameworks into concrete answers for the incoming cases related to onboarding, re-boarding and offboarding/exit, performance management, health & wellbeing, leave and return from leave (work re-integration), compensation (incl. merit), rewards and benefits, standard PVH EMEA training and team development offers, conflict and disciplinary, remote work, workforce management etc.


  • Provide operational partnership to leaders up to mid-management to improve HR-related KPIs such as but not limited sickness quota, FTE/HC/staff management, position management, time to hire, associate turn-over / fluctuation, talent retention, performance distribution and associate engagement


  • Provide clear direction and guidance to the requesting parties and appoint them to existing resources while being a HR confidant for both, associates and leaders


  • Solve requests with deep expertise on existing policies/processes/frameworks and with a service mind-set to the satisfaction of the requesting parties, keeping the touch-points of interaction to the necessary minimum to allow for process efficiency


  • Liaise with all HR CoEs and HR Business Partners to solve complex incoming cases needing more guidance than the defined frameworks can provide. Support HR BPs when needed on organizational wide projects and initiatives (such as deploying new HR solutions, reorganizations, stores opening and closures etc)


  • Continuously keep up-to-date with evolving HR processes, policies and frameworks but also with the strategy from the different CoEs / HR and incorporate these into the day-to-day business conversations


  • Continuously improve the way we deliver people solutions by providing feedback and input to all CoEs based on daily operations, data insights, challenges and successes


  • Based on data insights and experience, proactively support and advise associates and people leaders on those recurrent people, team and organizational topics that are of critical importance and high frequency in a certain team , functional area of Hub


  • Contribute when needed (and when a e -learning solution is not available / or where local language is required) to deploying needed organizational knowledge to associates and people leaders (eg compliance and performance improvement workshops, ask me anything open sessions for people leaders on cyclical HR processes etc).



The Ideal Candidate:


  • HR Generalist with at least 3 years of experience within HR operation and services


  • Previous experience as in HR Generalist/Operations role or Junior HRBP role is a plus


  • Deep understanding of HR processes and regulations


  • Strong service mind-set doubled by excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness


  • Demonstrates high levels of personal accountability


  • Very good language skills in English and local language


  • Expertise in (local) labour law and regulations


  • Shares information actively and deals with conflict constructively


  • Strong judgement, critical thinking and questioning skills along with an aptitude for problem-solving and thorough knowledge of HR, procedures and policies


  • Resilience and understands how to manage stakeholders and expectations


  • Team player


  • Advanced knowledge of HRIS and ability to learn new technical systems, when necessary (Workday and Service Now experience is a plus)
