The Department and Team:

The European Retail brick & mortar team oversees the supply chain for the European stores (Full Price, Outlet, Concession, Franchise) for Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein. The team drives merchandise planning strategies, builds ranges and collections, buys, and produces collections for Outlet, manages the orderbooks and logistics, in-season management and drives strategies to evolve an omni-channel consumer journey. The team environment is dynamic, open and respectful.

The Merchandising team’s main role is to create cohesive collections for the stores by selecting commercial product that is appropriate in an outlet environment while upholding the Brand image.


The Position:

As a member of the Outlet Merchandising team, the Merchandiser will be responsible for creating seasonal strategies and commercial product assortments, along with in season management tasks. This role requires an eye for product along with the ability to analyze data and build product ranges based on these findings. We are looking for someone who puts emphasis on the details, has the ability to work in a fast-paced fashion environment, and can develop key cross-functional relationships, especially with internal partners: Production, Buying, Planning, Operations, and VM.


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Planning team to convert Divisional Range Plans into a seasonal collection balancing the commercial product needs with the seasonal design direction.

  • Own the assortment building process from initial strategy to final selection, presenting the assortments in key meetings.

  • Create detailed hindsight analysis to review sales results, pricing architecture, and product assortment, to maximize category potential and identify growth opportunities.

  • Analyse weekly merchandising reports and present key findings, areas of opportunity and proposed actions during weekly trade meetings.

  • Work cross-functionally with teams including Planning, Operations, Production and Visual Merchandising.

  • Complete ad hoc seasonal projects.



The Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum 3 years Merchandising experience, preferably experience in the Outlet fashion environment

  • Commercial mindset with a proven track record of building successful collections across all KPIs

  • Ability to analyze large amounts of data & to build product ranges based on findings

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills) & Adobe Creative Suite

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Fluent in English, verbal and written

  • Confident in presenting in front of large groups

  • Team player, can-do attitude and willing to learn

  • Hands-on mentality, multitasking, solution oriented, ability to prioritize

  • Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment with strict deadlines

  • Available to work in the office in Amsterdam 2-3 days per week
