The Team
The CK eCommerce team is focused on delivering exceptional commercial performance and customer experience across digital platforms. Within this, the Marketplace team plays a critical role in driving growth and ensuring seamless execution with our partner platforms.
Project Context
The CK Marketplace business is a critical contributor to eCommerce performance. With resourcing gaps and the Q4 peak season ahead, interim support is needed to stabilize daily operations and deliver against immediate growth opportunities.
Project Objectives
- Maximize Q4 / Peak Season sales performance
- Accelerate marketplace growth initiatives (e.g. Zalando ZMS & ZFS, new partner opportunities)
- Maintain operational stability (weekly trade reviews, profitability tracking, risk management)
Scope & Key Activities
Q4 / Peak Season Trading:
- Lead weekly marketplace trading reviews, focusing on sales, margin, returns, and sell-through.
- Define and execute trading actions to capture Cyber Month and Holiday peaks.
- Align assortment and promotions with Planning and Marketing for maximum conversion.
- Monitor stock utilization and ensure fast reaction to commercial risks.
Marketplace Growth & Initiatives
- Drive Zalando ZMS campaign planning and performance optimization.
- Lead Zalando ZFS assessment/rollout in partnership with Logistics and Finance.
- Explore and prioritize new marketplace opportunities for 2026 pipeline.
- Coordinate with Legal/Finance on contract discussions where needed.
Operational Execution & Reporting
- Ensure seamless product activation and trading coordination with partners.
- Own reporting frameworks and KPI dashboards (OEV, profitability, margin, returns).
- Act as central contact point across Planning, Ops, Marketing, and regional hubs.
- Provide operational guidance to direct team member(s) and align with onboarding support.
Deliverables / Success Measures
- Achieve/improve Q4 marketplace sales vs. RE forecast.
- Smooth execution of Cyber Month & Holiday trading plans.
- Zalando ZMS campaigns launched and optimized for ROI.
- ZFS implementation plan defined with clear business case.
- Expansion opportunities mapped, with at least one new marketplace initiative assessed.
- Accurate, timely trade reporting and risk/opportunity management.
Duration & Profile
- Duration: 4-6 months interim assignment (extendable if required).
Profile:
- 6+ years in eCommerce/Marketplace management.
- Hands-on expertise with platforms like Zalando, About You, ASOS.
- Experience with ZMS campaigns and ZFS models.
- Strong commercial and trading acumen, able to react fast in peak season.
- Strong cross-functional leadership and communication.
