The Team


The Direct to Consumer Finance and Controlling team supports the department in reaching their targets by managing the short, medium and long term planning, control and analytical cycles. Their mission is to deliver high quality planning and insightful analysis that boost the organization’s efficiency, effectiveness and overall performance. With an Omnichannel focus, their work touches all channels (full price, outlet, e-commerce and concessions) across 27 European markets. The team uses a wide range of tools to provide this support.



The Position


As Manager of the DtC Finance Operations team, you will report to the Sr. Director Omnichannel Finance & Controlling. In your job, you will be a key business partner for our main stakeholders in both business operations and finance side. You will be proactively working in a dynamic environment in which you will be involved in the implementation of automations and improvements of processes.



You will be managing a team of two finance professionals who’s expertise will need to be allocated to different projects and tasks that support the DtC Finance & Controlling department activities. In that sense, you will actively apply your financial and accounting knowledge, together with your technical experience to steer the team towards the optimal support of the controlling activities they oversee. You will be involved on the implementation of the main structural changes for DtC Department, and your input will be key on determining the impact of these changes across interconnected processes.



Among others, your tasks would be:


  • Oversee a team of two finance professionals, who are assigned to support activities or Finance projects.


  • Report back to local controlling teams actuals versus plan of Wholesale Capex budgets throughout the fiscal year.


  • Be the go-to person for account allocation and estimation of financial risk or impact of significant stock movements.


  • Attend project teams regarding optimization of SAP and front-end tools and processes, where you are representing the department and determine necessity of enhancements.



The Ideal Candidate


  • University degree in Business Administration / Finance / Accounting.


  • 6 - 8 years of experience in Finance, FP&A and/or controlling.


  • Is hands on and works independently resolving issues of diverse scope that require deep analysis of situations and different factors, including an understanding of current business trends.


  • Has experience or is familiar with concepts like account reconciliation, P2P flows, GRIR accounts analysis, capitalization of projects and assets, etc.


  • Gets involved and is curious about the technicalities of projects and solutions, understanding end to end processes and translating it to Finance teams and business teams.


  • Experience in team management and senior stakeholder management.


  • Strong technical knowledge in SAP and experience working with implementation of SAP modules and projects.


  • Experience with different ERPs, ideally SAP, BPC, BW


  • Is solution oriented and has affinity with systems while being willing to enhance business processes.


  • Excellent communicator with ability to steer conversations across all levels with cross-functional teams.


  • Ambitious, motivated, flexible, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.


  • Excellent written and spoken language skills in English and ability to work in multi-cultural & multi-lingual environment.


  • Experience in retail or fashion industry is a plus.
