The Team

The Ecommerce (Ecom) Department is responsible for managing the European own and operated tommy.com and calvinklein.com sites across all European markets. The team operates all necessary functions to manage the Ecom business end-to-end. Both brands are growing in a fast pace and have very ambitious growth targets for the coming years. The team consists of approx. 100+ people and will continue to grow significantly. Furthermore, team members are of various cultural backgrounds and nationalities, all highly motived and skilled as well as inspiring to work with. As the own and operated Ecom business is one of the main growth opportunities for both brands, there is a high focus in the organization to support the Ecom growth.One of the strategic pillars is to drive a more data decision driven culture within the business. The Position

As the Exclusives and Capsules Junior Buyer, you will be responsible for bringing our exclusive capsules strategy to life for our Ecommerce business. This key position is for all product divisions (including CK Underwear, CK Jeans, CK Swimwear, etc.) across our ck.com platform. This unique role is part of an intimate buying team, you will work closely with the CK product divisions and buyers to understand our assortment and develop consumer relevant exclusives that strengthen our USP for ck.com. This position is vital to ensure growth to our ck.com platform. You will report directly into the Exclusives and Capsules Manager.Key Responsibilities: 

  • Alongside the Exclusives and Capsules Manager, support the seasonal strategy for exclusives and liaise with key stakeholders to ensure availability of digital assets (image, copy, price) prior to product launch and connect with PVH Studios, marketing and content for our exclusive capsules

  • Manage the complete flow of exclusives from product development with the division through range planning, asset production and launch down to collaborating with our analytics team to obtain insights

  • Must stay in tune and update with market trends, competitor activity and developments in assigned geographic markets

  • Partner with planning to analyse weekly sales reports and present key learnings, areas of opportunity and proposed actions during trade meetings

  • Monitor sell-throughs, proposing and executing trading actions in order to improve sales performance

  • Create and present Kick Off decks for capsules, informing the wider teams of the activation plan

  • Co-ordinate, create and present capsule hindsight decks which help inform our next exclusive capsules

  • Co-ordinate, create and present seasonal content proposal decks

  • Establish a trusted relationship with respective divisions and maintain regular feedback to the divisions on selling performance and relevant data throughout the season

  • Work collaboratively with the Planning team to create seasonal range plans and define detailed buy plans incorporating consumer insights, market trends and commercial opportunities

  • Work hand in hand with the Divisional Buyers to understand exclusive opportunities and co-ordinate, create and present Exclusive decks to Divisions

  • Work the Global Calvin Klein team on Global Capsule launches

  • Provide directional input to the content team and studio during creative briefs for style guides, looks, features, promotions, newsletter 

  • Responsible for supporting with training and developing Buying Coordinator(s)

  • Work collaboratively with the Content and Site Merchandising teams to best prepare the business to develop initiatives to support particular categories and products, ensuring categories have visibility and voice

  • Build and Refresh ad-hoc reports as requested

  • Support Buying, Management and wider business with ad-hoc queries 

  • Negotiate deliveries to ensure consistent and early flow of goods/merchandise to maximize sales and meet plan

  • Working closely with relevant teams to ensure stock is in the right place at the right time.

  • Europe Ecommerce: Buying and Planning, Content, Product Launch, Site Merchandising, Analytics, SEO, SEA and Operations

  • Product Division Merchandising and Sales Managers



     

The Ideal Candidate: 

  • Previous experience in a Buying Department preferably within an e-commerce fashion brand with 3-5 years working experience

  • An excellent work ethic and ability to multi-task

  • Influencing and negotiating skills

  • Good eye for product demonstrating excellent commercial awareness across different product groups

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Ability to prioritize & multi-task

  • A strong eye for detail, great organizational skills and works to a high level of accuracy

  • Ability to bring ideas to the table in relation to product and brand mix

  • Comfortable to build relationships at all levels with suppliers and internal stakeholders

  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as being a self-motivated individual

  • Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced demanding environment where teamwork is key

  • Passion for the brand and the fast paced environment 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a supportive team mentality

  • Commercial awareness with a keen interest in the fashion industry and a consumer-centric mind set

  • Possessing a positive and can do attitude and a flexible approach to learning

  • Excellent system skills (Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint) 

  • Demonstrates initiative and follows through completely on all aspects of a project

  • Able to work in a multinational company where cultural awareness/sensitivity is important

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, professional level of English required

  • Quick to learn new systems and tools
