The Department & Team

The Trim Development team develops and delivers both innovative and sustainable trims for the Brand. Responsible for the end to end development of the product, from initial concept through to bulk approval, pioneering high quality & product excellence, as well as delivering on company & divisional KPI’s.

Closely partnering with a number of stakeholders, from product development, design & merchandising, through to supply value chain, & buying & planning global teams this role plays an intricate part in delivering the brand DNA.

The Position TRIM DEVELOPER

Responsible for creating and maintaining the trim library for the Division.

In addition give trim input by attending key meetings (e.g. concept brief, development, sketch and SMS review). Follow seasonal developments till bulk approval.

Liaise with Design, merchandising and product development on initiatives to foster innovation, sustainability. Monitor price points and provide call-outs regarding quality risks to the product.

Join us on our digitalization journey with the aim to create digital first product throughout our product development lifecycle; from proto to production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research & development of trims to bulk approval standard

  
  

• Responsible for achieving trim specific KPIs (e.g. prices, sustainability, overdevelopment and on-time SMS delivery)

  
  

• Participates in business projects related to product, process and business requirements, as well in a cross divisional trim team on PVH EU relevant topics

  
  

• Information maintenance/data integrity: ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data in PLM (e.g. BOM, prices)

  
  

• Adhere to critical path, both internally and externally to support the development and production of the collection achieving on time delivery at all stages of the development process

  
  

• Liaise with Central Quality Assurance regarding any quality issues

  
  

• Ad hoc tasks

The Ideal Candidate:

• 2- 4 years of experience in material development

  
  

• A bachelor/ master’s degree in fashion or equivalent experience in fashion, clothing or textiles industry

  
  

• Product knowledge of apparel development with the focus on material

  
  

• Understanding of the following software is advantageous: PLM, 3D Software such as Browzwear & Adobe suit

  
  

• Effective communication skills: inclusive team player, interdepartmental collaboration

  
  

• Ability to solve straight forward problems following standard procedures

  
  

• Able to work in a highly productive, fast paced environment with a hands-on approach
