Visualizing and designing new products, they must keep upto to date with emerging trends whilst designing the right product that is aligned with the Tommy Hilfiger brand heritage and meets our customers? requirements. They will need to work with a design brief that is sets the tone for our seasonal storytelling and overcome development challenges in order to translate the brand strategy for the season.


Responsibilities:


  • Requires expanded knowledge and experience in own area, still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills


  • Drive the design development of their respective product category from initial sketch to final product


  • Ability to interpret current trends, seasonal concept, rangeplan/sales targets into exciting, on-brand product


  • Coordinate with fellow designers and collaborate with multiple stakeholders in order to ensure the best product offer for our consumer


  • Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction from senior peers / manager


  • Reporting into the Design Manager


  • The designer will be responsible for meeting the requirements of the design brief for certain product groups that will be allocated to them by the Design manager.


  • They will be working on new constructions driving the evolution of our essentials styles as well as introducing new commercial constructions.


  • They must be able to execute footwear sketches and color ups for seasonal footwear presentations.


  • They need to have strong technical computer skills, and be advanced in Illustrator and Photoshop.


  • Provide clear communications to vendors and factories throughout all phases of product development


  • They must create and execute design tech packages with clear and easy to understand translations of all details in order for the factory to execute correct samples


  • They will be collaborating with the Senior Designer and Junior Designer on initiatives that have been set by the Design manager


  • The Designer will need to present their concepts confidently at design milestones and adopt a supporting role to Design Leadership in lifestyle brand strategy sign offs.



Requirements:


Most critical skills required for the role:


  • Has knowledge and experience in own discipline; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills


  • Good organizational and time management skills


  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team


  • Ability to generate creative ideas into on-brand product

Most critical experiences required for the role:


  • A degree from an BA/MA/alternative footwear design program


  • 2-5 years’ experience


  • Some experience using PLM systems or understanding their concept and willing to learn
