The Department & Team:
The Tommy Hilfiger global & PVH EMEA visual merchandising, display & windows department is a creative hub within omni-channel organization. This department oversees the creative strategy, development, and execution of product presentation across Tommy Hifliger global, Calvin Klein EMEA, and heritage brand and all points of sale. This includes full price retail stores, franchise locations, wholesale shop-in-shops, concession, and outlet channels. The Tommy Hilfiger global team sets global direction and works collaboratively with two other regional hubs in: New York and Hong Kong. To extend this outreach the team is set-up to also support the needs of local markets across Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific. This team works in parallel with the global marketing team on a 360 concept and consumer messaging approach.
The Calvin Klein regional team collaborates with the New York global headquarters on adapted direction to support the EMEA business needs. This includes visual merchandising, campaign roll out, and display strategies across the region. This team works in collaboration with numerous functions across the omni-channel business as well as local markets. The team environment is collaborative, dynamic, innovative, resourceful, open and respectful.
The Tommy Hilfiger global & PVH EMEA visual merchandising, display & windows teams are responsible for creating and communicating all Visual Merchandising tools including all seasonal guidelines, principles, and training tools for all divisions across the Tommy Hilfiger global, Calvin Klein EMEA, and heritage brands. Tools that will help provide a look and feel that represent both brands and protects its core DNA and ensures that retail/franchise stores, shop-in-shops, and outlets are delivering premium consumer experience through dynamic product presentation. This is supported by strong collaboration with store concept & design, marketing, merchandising, markets and all areas of the omni-channel team to ensure that the omni-channel visual merchandising, display, and windows strategy, the countries and point of sale needs are met.
The Position:
The Designer, Window Concept Design TH Global reports into the Senior Manager, Window Concept & Development, TH Global. This role’s main objective is to drive inspiring window concept design for full price and franchise stores worldwide. This includes all relevant concept design for global World of Hilfiger, World of Tommy, Outlet, and Kids stores supporting all divisions and category presentations. This role will collaborate with other window designers on delivering innovate, premium quality, and impactful window designs from conceptual phase, development, briefings, and execution. You will collaborate closely with the Window Development team members to to drive premium window execution in the markets.
Your tasks:
Lead the development and creation of engaging seasonal window schemes for all divisions and stores globally.
Create & Develop window design assets to cater to the different store tierings, aligned with the established Store Framework.
Create detailed Concept briefings & Sample Briefings and share with all relevant stakeholders.
Create window renders to visualize window schemes, including props and looks.
Partner with Window Development team members on window (production) orders.
Communicate and collaborate with Sr. Specialist Window Design Operations and vendors for developing high end window props that can be centrally and locally produced.
Proactively manage their own time working within the planning and production schedule prioritizing workload to allowing for the efficient and successful completion of deliverables.
Support in window implementation and gather a better understanding of their local/cultural requirements.
Regularly research trends in global culture, retail design, graphic design, fashion, art and materials.
Build, maintain and archive of visual inspiration and material samples.
Requirements:
Minimum 4-5 years proven relevant work experience, preferably in a creative retail environment.
Degree preferably in design subject.
Excellent knowledge of necessary software applications/platforms such as, Adobe Creative Suite and SketchUp, etc. Knowledge in rendering software is a plus.
Understanding of materials, techniques and design methods for the development of window props.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English.
Ability to manage and switch between projects and work streams.
Excellent research and presentation skills.
Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Practical skills for supporting in-store window and store installations.
